To The Karl Family -Thankyou & Goodluck !!

Last week we farewelled the Karl family who have now embarked on their journey to a new life in Canada via Auckland and Aussie.

We are all sad to loose Jesse and Andy's smiling faces and enthusiastic participation at trainings but wish them all the best in their travels and "fresh start" in Canada. For those of you who may have missed Andy and Jesse at their last training last Thursday we presented them with an ITFNZ Flag as a special momento for them both and a specially thankyou to Mr Karl who as well as being an "A" grade student has also made a huge contribution to the club as a member of the committee and single handedly developing and maintaining our website.

On behalf of everyone at North Wellington TKD -GOODLUCK and fly our NZ flag high and proud where ever you go!!

We look forward to receiving lots of updates and pictures (and the odd bit of remote website help)- watch this space!!

2009 Wellington Regional Tournament Results

WELL DONE!!! - North Wellington students and helpers did really well both in competition and organization on the day at our 2009 Wellington Regional Tournament on Sunday 14^thJune. A special thanks to Mrs June Yang and Mrs Jeeny Chu for organizing a great officials lunch with home cooked muffins!! Another special big thanks to Mr Andrew Monastra who sourced a truck and picked up and dropped off ring mats from Kapiti. Mr Paul Venning-Slater has obviously missed his calling and did a great job on the microphone as MC for the day and was ably assisted by Vincent Lim and others.

Congratulations to all those who competed and represented the club with great spirit! For a relatively small club we performed well in overall division results and I’m sure everyone who competed gained good experience and hopefully improved their self confidence.

Those who placed in their respective divisions are automatically eligible for Regional team selection to go to the National Tournament which will be held inChristchurchduring September this year. Training sessions for National Team hopefuls will be held atWellingtonCollege“Old Boys gym” every Sunday 1-3pm starting this weekend Sun 22 June.
