2009 Wellington Regional Tournament Results

WELL DONE!!! - North Wellington students and helpers did really well both in competition and organization on the day at our 2009 Wellington Regional Tournament on Sunday 14^thJune. A special thanks to Mrs June Yang and Mrs Jeeny Chu for organizing a great officials lunch with home cooked muffins!! Another special big thanks to Mr Andrew Monastra who sourced a truck and picked up and dropped off ring mats from Kapiti. Mr Paul Venning-Slater has obviously missed his calling and did a great job on the microphone as MC for the day and was ably assisted by Vincent Lim and others.

Congratulations to all those who competed and represented the club with great spirit! For a relatively small club we performed well in overall division results and I’m sure everyone who competed gained good experience and hopefully improved their self confidence.

Those who placed in their respective divisions are automatically eligible for Regional team selection to go to the National Tournament which will be held inChristchurchduring September this year. Training sessions for National Team hopefuls will be held atWellingtonCollege“Old Boys gym” every Sunday 1-3pm starting this weekend Sun 22 June.
